What to do after your house was on fire - rebuilding from scratch...

How the fire started

February 7, 2010

While planning the furniture and schrijnwerk for my house I was sure to use the best avaiable in the market. I love houses with binnenschrijnwerk and maatkeukens. Building up my house took me months and it was burnt down in an hour.

In the second floor of my house, I had dressings, which were beautiful. The fire actually started in the kitchen upstairs when my servent was cooking. She was out in the garden when one of the curtains in the houten ramen nearby caught fire. It spread to the houten deuren and then started spreading all over. Gradually the houten trappen also caught fire and everything else started burning down. The servent started a hue and cry to the neighbours but it was of no use. They called up the fireman before giving me a call.
